Serial data logging with AntiLog is simpler, more reliable, and better value than using a PC or PDA! There is no software to install, no Windows operating system to 'blink' when it should be capturing your data, it doesn't cost as much as a laptop, and because it uses so little current, a lithium PP3 battery will run it for about a week!
The AntiLog range of serial RS232 data loggers are available with non-volatile flashcard memory from 256MB to 4GB, cased or un-cased (OEM) versions, and a real-time-clock as standard. The AntiLog is supplied pre-loaded with a configuration menu allowing it to be quickly and easily configured prior to use through a PC or laptop.
Once configured for a particular application, AntiLog is completely self contained - simply press the 'ON' button to start recording, and the 'OFF' button to stop recording, to start recording again just press the 'ON' button. Holding the ON button for more than a second puts the unit into playback mode to allow the recorded data to be read back into a PC or other host - it's as easy as that! Data is never over-written in the record mode.
Both cased and uncased (OEM) models of AntiLog can be specified as either single or dual channel versions. Firmware upgrades are available to change an AntiLog from a 1-channel to 2-channel.
Hardware Versions
AntiLog is offered in two forms: As a fully cased instrument, complete with cable, battery, and zip-up carry-case, it is the perfect go-anywhere serial data logger for the engineer. Alternatively, it is offered as board-level module for integration into other equipment, thereby providing a fast-track route for OEMs to upgrade their own equipment and offer enhanced functionality by incorporating a high-performance logger. These two formats are electrically and functionally identical to one another.
All AntiLog models are now supplied with a built-in precision real-time-clock as standard, enabling date/time stamping of recorded data. During manufacture, the real-time-clock is precision trimmed by software, to ensure optimum time-keeping. A standard lithium coin cell is used on the cased AntiLog to provide several years operation of the RTC.
A power-forced logging, or 'P' version has all the features of the standard AntiLog, but will automatically begin recording data as power is applied to it, and stop recording when the power is switched off again. This version of AntiLog is particularly useful for logging data in applications such as motor vehicles where the data storage is only required when that system is operating, or where it may be inconvenient to manually operate 'start' and 'stop' buttons.
All AntiLog units are available with five different memory capacities: 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, & 4GB.
Firmware Updates
A policy of continual product improvement and enhancement means that from time to time, firmware upgrades are released. All AntiLog units now come as standard with an embedded software bootloader, which means you can now receive software upgrades via the Internet. These updates will be made available on this website when they become available, and can be downloaded free-of-charge during the warranty period of one year.
